Sant Carles de Peralta is a neighbourhood in the municipality of Santa Eulalia del Río.
Many of the houses, scattered amongst olive, almond, carob and fig trees, depend on the village, as is common in the island's countryside. The village was founded in 1785 around the church of San Carlos.
In the 1960s and 1970s, it was a popular meeting place for intellectuals and hippies, and this gives the village its unique charm. It is also home to two of the island's most famous hippie neighbourhoods: Las Dalias and Punta Arabí, with Las Dalias being considered the most well-known and picturesque.
